Summer Jackson: Grown Up By Teresa E. Harris, illustrated by AG Ford

Meet Summer Jackson.

Summer is fairly certain she's ready to be a grown-up—right now. She wants to wear a blazer, read the morning paper, and boss around a few second graders. Grown-ups have it so easy! But wait, do grown-ups play on swings?

Teresa E. Harris and AG Ford's hilarious story shows that being a kid might not be so bad after all.

Interval .0

Here is a bit more work done to the portrait of my brother I've been working on in my down time. I got a chance to work on the hand a bit, but its been so long since i worked on this portrait, that my color combinations were thrown off a bit. Notice how much warmer the hand is than the face. This is only the underpainting, but this will play a roll, we will see how it turns out. Thanks for viewing!

Drawings from "Goal"

LinkHere are a few final drawings from the "Goal" book. These two drawings were some of my favorite spreads to paint. They offered intense emotion and also a climatic point in the story where I had the chance to show action throughout a piece. Enjoy! Also, checkout the finished "Zora and Me" cover on my site here!

"Uplifting and inspiring, this beautifully written and illustrated book reminds us of the joys and saving grace of friendship and sport. Set in South Africa, this book is a gift for soccer fans and all families around the world." -- Archbishop Desmond Tutu
In a dusty township in South Africa, Ajani and his friends have earned a brand-new, federation-size soccer ball.

They kick. They dribble. They run. They score. These clever boys are football champions! But when a crew of bullies tries to steal their ball, will Ajani and his friends be able to beat them at their own game?
A lyrical, strikingly illustrated story celebrates the unifying power of soccer. Just in time for the June 2010 World Cup in South Africa!
